What about LSC?
Can't remember 'when' exactly, we had a decision to remove LSC from the default build of Lubuntu (If I remember correctly, that was with Raring - 13.04) but then the team decided to keep it. For 14.04? I wonder whether we will keep it or remove it? not that it is very buggy but there are still some reported issues AFAIK.
For me? I'd vote to keep it if possible and make sure to fix any important bug(s)

[Noskcaj] While no work has been done in some time, it is still fairly stable and the best lightweight software centre. I've got a few minor fixes that need adding, then another actual release could be made. Someone said they could help take over the project, i'll check if they still can.
[gilir] There is no viable alternative, and we are not going to replace it so close to the LTS.
