Transparent Sockets based RDMA  - what's missing?

Registered by LPC Submitter

Vivek Kashyap (<email address hidden>)

We will present an overview of current solutions and approaches for exploiting RDMA transparently for sockets based applications. The current RDMA solutions do no provide socket transparency and miss out on many key attributes of sockets API which are otherwise present over TCP/IP networks in enterprise class environments. We will further discuss how these deficiencies could be addressed.
