Bug tracking and testing for sound problems

Registered by Elena Zannoni

This blueprint has been superseded. See the newer blueprint "HD-audio cooking && QA/Testing" for updated plans.

This session will be held in conjunction with HD Audio Cooking:
https://blueprints.launchpad.net/lpc/+spec/lpc2012-audio-hd-recipe

Bug tracking in the sound subsystem is far away from the optimal
situation. We'd like to discuss how to improve the situation, looking
through the experiences from the current ALSA and distro bug
trackers.

Also, we're going to show the automated testing of HD-audio driver
using hda-emu emulator for detecting the errors and regression
coverage.
