Ubuntu LoCo teams using LoCo Directory to register their events

Registered by Efrain Valles

The Ubuntu LoCo teams are looking a way to follow up on an event promotion; tracking attendance, gathering support for the event, keeping track of past events, meetings etc.

Currently this is all done in a wiki and does not follow any specific way of organizing the attendees as every team has a different way of doing this and this can be a way or inhibiting new comers. Also, there is no way of letting all the team members know about the event, as not all members are on mailing lists.

Features:

1- Create an event for LoCo.
2- send out a mail to LoCo mailing list.
 3- Event attendance.
4- List All events under a LoCo.

Whiteboard

*** This idea has been implemented in the LoCo Directory 0.2 Release ***

CHECK http://loco.ubuntu.com/events/

This idea was originally though for Launchpad, but since it might diverge too much from launchpad's goals, we have though this would be a great idea for the LoCo Directory. The idea would be to have this working along with the LoCo Directory using the launchpad api. A discussion about workflow should take place before any coding gets done.

The description of this Feature has been outlined in the project's wiki page https://wiki.ubuntu.com/LoCoDirectory/EventFeature
