Run the regression tests before committing changes

Before committing changes we should run the regressiontests. A useful command which compiles and runs the tests fairly quickly:

../configure --with-thread=pthread --enable-debug && make && ./RegTest

The --enable-debug flag disables optimizations in GCC and speeds up compilation significantly.
