Type and format of a resource

When creating a resource manually, one must specify Type and Format. For Type, in most cases it is not a problem, but still, sometimes it is not clear what to choose or the type is not in the list. Could we add "Other" type? For "format" it is not clear how it is used and the value of this format, and sometimes it is hard to choose (e.g., what to choose for acm article page, to youtube video, slideshare presentation, blogpost, just html page speaking about the topic?).
It might be useful to have a special type of resource "talk" - could be video or link to the conference program
