nvidia drivers for none sse CPU, and broadcom support

i would like to see linuxmint to include broadcom by default like what they did over in pclinuxos and mandriva where now most if not all broadcom chipsets are working out of teh box with either distribution. Also it would be great to provide older nvidia drivers that support none SSE AThlon processors for new comes who are using older CPU.
also is it possible to include teh latest stable alsa drivers with this new release. as of most laptops require the new alsa drivers.
