Window button to toggle full screen state of application

Whilst it is possible to set up a keyboard short cut for toggling fullscreen state for applications (e.g. setting ALT+F11 as a keyboard shortcut to toggle fullscreen), what would be nice is to toggle fullscreen state for apps by clicking on a dedicated window button.

What would also be nice is if it is possible to make applications in its fullscreen state as a separate workspace. That way it would be easy to switch between applications like we're switching workspaces.
