Add mounted network folders to "places" in open file dialog
I am not sure if this is an OS issue or an application issue, so let me explain. I am running TrueCrypt encryption software and I am unable to open a file location on a network server. I can mount the network file system (it's a linux based RAID NAS that I access through a local, wired router). The folder gets mounted and mapped to my desktop properly, but when I use the "browse for file" feature in TrueCrypt, I am unable to select the mapped network folder in the "open file" dialog. I also can't drag the mounted folder into the "places" list in the open file dialog. This is a big problem for me since my main "data" backup is contained in an encrypted file volume on the NAS. If I could add (or drag) the mounted folder into the open file dialog, I could then select my encrypted data file contained within that network volume and mount it in TrueCrypt. Truecrypt works fine with other mounted hard discs and my main file system.
