To broaden the volume of software available in mintInstall by enabling the community to create .mint files for inclusion
At the moment it is difficult to find the specification of the .mint files and how to make them, I imagine it's on the wiki somewhere. If it was reasonably easy to add software to mintInstall, we could crowdsource the creation of .mint files to the mint community, enabling a much larger database of installable software to be created, reducing the requirement for Synaptic.

How about a graphical tool to create .mint files?
^^^Yep, that'd be great if possible, anything that helps increase the volume of software available in mintInstall. Of course you'd need to have some kind of vetted submission system, but I'm sure you can manage that.
Rovanion: Doing a ArchLinux-like model would be great where the most software is mananged by users. But it shouldn't have to be done to the same extent due to much software being supported trough Conanical and Ubuntu.
