Enabling an option for incorporation of beta/developing packages of regular programs such as OO.org, banshee, etc, in mintInstall, with an warning to the user that they can be very unstable. I don't know if its possible, but it would turn mintInstall a bit more interactive.

Whiteboard

I was thinking of something similar the other day, except I was considering ppas. It would be good to provide a list of ppas that provide fully updated versions of certain apps installed by default (above the level of gnome). I think it would be good to be able to enable ppas in mintInstall, with an explanation screen. -- emorrp1
