Built in Midi Codec?

i Have Noticed that in Linux Mint it is the Hardest thing To find a Codec That plays Midi files in any of the Default Players. If Linux mint Is Going to Come VLC or Whatever it is. atleast Come with Midi Codecs? its more of a request honestly. i see it as a waste of an hour to Find a Correct Codec.
