Location reported to browsers/web sites based on OS default location rather than default Languae

Right now, every OS reports machine location to browsers and subsequently web sites based on default language set in the OS. I.E. If I live in Canada and my machine is in Canada, but I have UK English as my default language, browsers will first and predominantly direct me to UK sites for news, products and services and present me with UK currency prices despite the fact that I have dollars set as currency in the OS.
I propose that this be changed to report the location (Country) set in the OS or be made user selectable
