support for driving wheels

I am pleased that Linux Mint supports most peripherals right out of the box with no additional driver packages required. I have been able to use my Saitek Pro Fllight Yoke and Rudder Pedals along with a variety of other devices and they simply work. However, I have found that this is not the case with driving wheels. My Thrustmaster T300RS will not work in Linux at all. I feel that default support for driving wheels would improve the Linux gaming experience immensely.
