The installer can handle raided drives without choking

Registered by jcalcote

Currently on 18.1, and back as far as mint 13, if you try to install mint on a drive (/dev/sda) which was once a part of a hardware or software raid, the installer fails to set up partitioning on the drive, and in fact, crashes the installation process when the user attempts to click any button on the dialog. The error dialog displays a python back trace and the installation process is terminated when the user clicks OK in the error dialog. The solution for this problem (as described in https://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?f=46&t=145768) is to run the command "sudo dmraid -r -E /dev/sda" from a terminal window, and then restart the installation process. This command removes the raid metadata from the drive so the installer will not choke on it. Recommend enhancing the installation process to recognize raid metadata and handle it gracefully.
