Desktop Sidebar

I recommend Linux Mint making a new side bar. A sidebar could contain a desktop clock (image as part of the desktop being a clock), a calendar, and more. This could even contain a quick-mint bar (I made up the name) containing a quick-access menu for accessing tools and programs. I got this idea from Windows Vista - 7, but the quick-mint bar was my idea.
