Better design and contrast in mint theme

Although I don't think the theme (mint - x) used in linux mint, up to linux mint 11, is bad, I feel it could be improved particularly by improving the contrast. When I look at the windows on my screen, I find it hard to distinguish the active windows from the minimised applications on the taskbar.

I agree with this point. Mint-x is used from 14 onwards. I think the previous black and green combination works best and it reflects what the distribution is, "Mint". The previous shiki theme can be used as a base idea. The Gray is not appealing. Needs a title bar redesign. Compiz did have feature that distinguish active from inactive windows by dimming inactive windows. If Cinnamon can borrow that would be great.
