Here are the tasks required per platform to bring up board support for each SoC family. There are a lot of items per board, but most of them require very low effort, and they can be implemented in stages. ie. a conversion can start with just patches to enable i2c DT support, without also having to do SPI, GPIO, sound and video at the same time. Also, this list is probably not complete. Additional work may be needed for SDHCI, Ethernet, serial, etc. The platform-specific (iMX, OMAP, Samsung, ST-E) work items are listed in separate engineering blueprints to make it simpler to track.
