A set of VP8 optimizations for multicore has been created against an older version of libvpx. 0.9.5 It is asserted that this work saw a 1.6x performance improvement. With this blueprint, we will evaluate performance #s of the old library with and without changes, the performance of the current libvpx code and explore a forward port.
