Physical continous memory management on ARM platforms

Registered by Jammy Zhou

There is great demand for physical continuous memory by devices on ARM SOC, such as GPU, VPU and display controller. And these buffers usually need to be shared between different devices and processes for performance optimization. Currently each device/driver handles physical continuous memory separately, and different ARM vendors have different solutions. A common infrastructure for physical continuous memory management (in kernel space and user space) becomes more and more important to consolidate the graphics and multimedia software stack on ARM platforms.
