While the graphics working group has a fairly standard "recipe" for approaching porting of OpenGL code to OpenGL ES (or a more recent core profile of OpenGL), much of this is quite manual. It has been proposed based upon the results of several such porting projects that some of this work could reasonably be scripted or put into a separate application utility to identify not only likely problem areas for porting, but also significantly aid in scoping work for potential future projects.
