Include board type in compile results

Registered by Michael Hudson-Doyle

For reasons that are a little confusing (I'll try to explain below), I'd like to have the metadata for building a kernel include the type of board, if any, that the result of the build will be tested on. The LAVA job includes this in the metadata as "target.device_type" so if it could also be added to the build result that would be great.

The reason I want this is to make a board-type specific page for results, so you can see everything pertaining to say panda. For successful builds this is easy because I have the LAVA test run, I'd like to include compile failures as well on this page, and so I need to know which failed builds were targeted at panda.

Whiteboard

[deepti, Jan 10, 2012] Use the target.device_type key to send the board type information into the build status.

Meta:
Headline: Include the board type information as part of the build results.
Acceptance: The board type information is available in the build results on LAVA and this information is reflected in the respective bundle stream in validation lab.
