Origen DMA Buf Integration

Registered by Zach Pfeffer

Why are we doing this:

Samsung's 4210 Exynos based Origen board (http://www.origenboard.org/) is using a kernel that has not been transitioned to use DMA buf from the UMM (unified memory management) work of the Graphics Working Group. We should transition this board to use DMA buf in order to prove that the current DMA buf implementation works and provide a reference for people to use DMA buf in other platforms.

[2012/6/26 Annamalai]:
The Google Android team has to come up with a solid plan of using UMM in their buffer allocation.
This will be some sort of co-integration with Google ION framework.
Google has already scheduled for August so need to wait on their input, before we using UMM in
Android kernel for Origen.

Meta:
Headline: Samsung's Origen is now making use of UMM for buffer sharing.
