Investigate the use of libbls for existing applications

libbls is powerful and versatile, at least on paper. We need to find out whether it's feasible and makes sense to use it for existing applications. The target group includes hex editors, audio/video editors or any other application that manipulates blobs with lightweight semantics and structure.
Although this task is loosely coupled with the current development of libbls, the results may affect considerably the evolution of the API as well as the underlying implementation specifics (in terms of data structures, optimizations, etc)
