wiki is the only missing feature

Registered by Rahul Garg

Wiki hosting is a critical part for any project hosting solution. Lack of wiki hosting in launchpad means that we need to look to other solutions : such as google code or sourceforge or dedicated wiki hosting for most documentation needs. For example, blueprints is a very incomplete feature without wiki hosting. Tracking everything at one location is much better than spreading your project website into different pieces. If I host wiki somewhere else, users often need to sign up TWICE : once for launchpad and once for wiki. I understand there might be space constraints but please do consider this.

[Note that there were 3 blueprints opened about Launchpad needing a wiki. They all said basically the same thing, with minor variations. I've marked the other two as duplicates of this one; they were https://blueprints.edge.launchpad.net/launchpad/+spec/launchpad-wiki and https://blueprints.edge.launchpad.net/launchpad-foundations/+spec/project-wiki. (If I knew how to use "Mark superseded" to accomplish this, I'd do that instead, but it seems it does something else.) Also, the "Project Document Maintenance" spec, https://blueprints.edge.launchpad.net/launchpad/+spec/project-documents, is probably related to this. -Karl Fogel]
