To suit Launchpad's unusually technical and heavily multitasking target audience, the Web interface should have a simple, space-efficient page layout, featuring login information, a compact location bar with attached tabs, a global search field centered at the bottom, and a global footer. Other layout elements may be shared across many pages, but not every page.

Launchpad should also use a neutral theme, befitting an application that some people use for hours every day, and helping to emphasize the branding of the software projects presented within the site.
