A way to find out if I have a pending "join" for a team or project and the status.

It would be beneficial if launchpad users would have a way to know if:
a) they have already joined a team or project; and
b) what is the status of their pending membership
This would prevent users from trying to join more than once or unable to know if they're requests are being taken care of.
