Linux-related Knowledgebases have a property in common with Linux-related bugs: The data isn't usually distro-specific. I propose that LP should grow a knowledge base component that upstreams are welcome to use and that is primarily related to upstream packages. Distros should then be able to annotate it with their own customisations. Individuals should be able to do further annotations (which can be private or public).
