Select multiple parts with >= 1 common attribute, change chosen value

For example: EESchema, select several resistors. They all have a "value" field. Thus, "value" is one of the attributes it is possible to edit simultaneously.

Before editing, 'value' can be greyed (indicating multiple values exist), and can take, for instance, the value of the first resitor selected.

Once I enter a chosen value, *all* chosen resistors would have their 'value' field updated.

Suppose I have selected 10 resistors, and I want them all to be 10k Ohms. I simply edit the common field "value" to be '10k'.

I guess this same process might be useful in other scenarios.
