Edit similar objects together

A feature that would allow you to find similar objects to the currently selected one, select all of them, and then edit common attributes.
Idealy this would work for everything from components and nets in EESchema, to traces and graphical lines in PCBNew
Currently I'd love to use it in the footprint editor, to select all lines on Fsilk, and move them to Ffab. Link provided to the FSO menu in Altium Designer
