partitioned grounds

How to connect different grounds? In many power and analog designs you want to have grounds with star or other partitioned domains. These ground domains are ultimately connected together at some point, but are mostly partitioned in order to keep noise inducing higher currents out of ground in sensitive areas. It is established practice to show different ground symbols on the schematic. How is this accomplished in Kicad? I have been discussing on KiCad Info Forum and see only workarounds; no good answer. I am a beginner with Kicad.
