Things to do:
- use tornado's authentication functions (e.g. the decorator to redirect to login.) <- Implemented
- use long polling instead of websockets? Or next to? <- Discussion
- aggressive caching <- Implemented
- split into multiple files (e.g. helpers.py (AuthorisationHelper and ChatHelper), auth.py (Login, Logout, etc.), client.py (client, client js, websocket), logs.py (both log handlers) and irc.py (containing the irc bot), server.py for the real application, config.py as it is now.) <- Implemented (splitting at different places.)
- Javascript template to generate html if that exists? <- Implemented for the situation where it was needed most.
- improve load times if possible <- high page speed score now, should be good enough.
