welcome screen

I believe we should get a welcome screen in Inkscape. It'll help people get to know more about the project and foster curiosity of new users.

I made a mockup form Krita welcome screen >> https://vrafaeli.files.wordpress.com/2015/01/krita-splash.png?w=768
Inkscape possible welcome screen >> https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/12552815/imgs/FLOSS/inkscape/inkscape_welcome_screen.png

The links inside the Inkscape suggestion of welcome screen are described below:

Inkscape Support = It should lead users to a page where they could pay once/pay monthly to help the project. Or to "sponsor" a particular feature he is interested in see implemented in the project.

First Steps: It could lead users here >> http://wiki.inkscape.org/wiki/index.php/Tutorials_and_help

Manual: https://ma.ellak.gr/documents/2015/07/inkscape-manual.pdf

Inkscape website: www.inkscape.org

User Community: https://inkscape.org/en/teams/

Source Code: https://inkscape.org/en/download/source/

Inkscape Keyboard Shortcuts: http://ridjam.deviantart.com/art/Inkscape-0-91-Keyboard-Advance-Shortcuts-518481672

Just forgot to say that there will be an option a the bottom left of the window that will enable the user to "do not show this in the future" if desired.

What do you guys think? I think this will highlight importance of a lot of links and in the same time make the intro of the program cool/sexy. Any thoughts?
