Button to save current document preferences as defaults
Hello to all of you, and thanks for this great software !
I wonder if it would be possible to add a button in the "Document preferences" form in order to be able to save the parameters and to make them the defaults for all our new documents... It would be a user friendly manner to save the unities, the grid parameters and so on.

Jazzynico, 2011-02-22 - Thanks for your suggestions. Setting default document preferences is already possible. You just need to open the default template (with File>New), set your desired parameters and then save it as the new default template [1].
Ok, it's not really straightforward, but there's a related blueprint in progress [2] that should improve the way templates can be used and edited (we plan to add a File>Save as template entry).
Since the feature already exist and improvements are planned, I close this blueprint. Don't hesitate to comment (here or in the other blueprint) if there's something else you need, or to use the answers part of the Launchpad site if you need some precisions on how templates work.
