Managing several drawings thanks to a tabs manager

Inkscape allows us to draw only one drawing in the same svg file. If we want to draw several drawings, we must put them all in the same file, on the same "page" ; and they're not easy to manage. It would be helpful developing a tabs manager to allow us to put and manage easily several drawings in the same svg file.
