Basic Kerning, Tracking and Leading for Inkscape text

It would be hugely helpful to have even basic control over the text in Inkscape drawings (prior to conversion to paths of course). Doing logo design work would be greatly helped if we had Kerning (spacing between letter pairs), Tracking (spacing between letters for entire blocks of text) and Leading (spacing between lines).
