Inkscape could benefit from a set of display filters like those in GIMP that would help easily switch between usual color managed view, CMYK live preview, gamma correction mode (1.8<->2.2) and various color blindness simulation modes (http://web.archive.org/web/20110713131951/http://kaioa.com/node/91 for Python implementation specifically done for Inkscape).
