needs better OSX integration for ease of use without extra installs
To use the feature "add nodes" I needed to become an Apple developer to install Xcode and install a newer version of Python so I could install Macports and eventually libxml. I'm an independent artists just looking for some respectable tools, not a rocket scientist. It took a long time to figure all of this out. A less stubborn artist would have given up a long time ago. You guys have obviously put a lot of hard work into a great program. Please make it easier to use so it won't disappear. Inkscape really should be complete and not dependent on technical software that is obscure to it's target market. Just to be clear. I think Inkscape is great. I'm in the playing around phase and am pretty certain that I will be donating as well showing off Inkscape work soon. Just make it easier on us simple artists please.

<https:/
It is not a lack of feature but a know bug that only effects current packages running on Snow Leopard. Unfortunately it is not yet solved.
[2011-05-07 ~suv] The problem with extensions missing the lxml module on Snow Leopard was solved in the latest stable release (Inkscape 0.48.1). Sorry for the delayed update here.
