Easy option in update manager to freeze version number of packages

Registered by Ashwyn Falkingham

Has been frustrating recently, because I installed OpenOffice 3.2 after removing 3.1 from synaptic, but I must have missed something, as update manager immediately wanted to reinstate all of OpenOffice 3.1 the next time it popped up, I unchecked all the packages, but every time I wanted to update, I had to uncheck them all again. I would really have appreciated being able to right click on the packages and choose to freeze them at that particular version number, or simply not upgrade them, without having to go to synaptic, search for all the packages that were going to be 'upgraded' and mark them all there.

Seems unnecessary and simple to fix.
