Task Scheduling in OpenStack dashboard with a new feature of Launch/Create Later button.
Currently in OpenStack, various kinds of work have to be started manually by a system administrator or an user.
The set of such jobs ranges widely from creating an instance, networks and other resources.
A user can can create an instance or a network through the terminal or dashboard by following certain steps but there is no way he can schedule the creation or deletion of these ressources.
This bluprint aims at adding a new functionality in Horizon, that will help a user to schedule his tasks. Horizon has launch instance and create network buttons, this blueprint will give them an option that if an user clicks the launch or create button he gets two options “launch now” and “launch later”.
Launch now will work the same way as it works now in OpenStack, where as Launch later will give an option to the user to schedule the creation of its instance or network.
This will help the user to schedule its task at a certain time in the day. Also we can add email support to the user so that the user gets an email on successfull creation or failure of the task.
