Addition of a Ceph panel in Horizon to help monitor and manage a Ceph cluster
We hope system admins can have more visibility of the underneath storage layer. This panel, in the admin dashboard, would be visible only if Ceph is acting as backend for Cinder, Glance or a drop-in replacement for Swift. In the first version, admins would be able to monitor the Ceph cluster health, status, manage CRUSH maps as well as CRUSH rules and see the distribution of any object.

Why no one reacts on this? This feature is a missing peace in openstack. Current state of support for ceph in horizon is more than confusing (for example hypervisor panel and storage total missleading values)
[2014-11-17 | david-lyle] Horizon's policy is to only support functionality integrated into the OpenStack release. As such, support specific storage drivers that aren't abstracted via the Cinder or Swift API won't be merged into the Horizon source tree. I don't doubt the usefulness of these UI enhancements. My recommendation would be to make sure they work as a plugin to Horizon. And post the project to stackforge or the like for others to be able to use.
[2018-11-13 | sheel] Hello All, Description video depicts that ceph plugin is already developed by different members presenting this video.
Kindly point me if this horizon based "ceph plugin code" is available as open source!!
