Human Interface Guidelines Compliant User Interface

Registered by Jeff Fortin Tam

I am a usability nazi (but not a programmer). I am offering my services to design a clean and HIG-compliant user interface, if you guys are interested. I will provide mockups and comments and stuff like that. Would you be interested?

Whiteboard

I started editing the glade GUI. Here are some screenshots of what it looks like. Let me know what you think.

Edit by Emilio: It's very minimalist :) I liked it, but maybe you could do some screenshots with English text? I don't know French so I couldn't guess what some buttons did :S

Edit by Jeff: The only parts of the UI that were in French were the GTK stock buttons. Valider = "OK", Annuler = "Cancel", Ajouter = "Add", Enlever = "Remove".

Edit by Marcos: Hi. Thanks for your work!! ;) I like it, but preffer the actual design :O For me the actual is more intuitive. But if the community preffer this, not problem :)
More opinions, please! :D

daniele: I like the nice direction in UI, is more integrated with the underlying ufw system. tip1: use default font size for rules; tip2: the "By Default" label in italian became "In maniera predefinita"... quite long, not so good for this windows size I think; tip3: the (separated) window to add rules now could host below some helpfull text (1 paragraph, nothing more) to describe what is needed, what users should do.

Marcos: THANKS VERY MUCH BY YOUR WORK!! But Gufw changed the GUI, and I think the actual is more fine. In other way, you can collaborate in the futures GUIs :D I reply: THANKS! ;)
