GNOME Shell's possible optional usage in Maverick

GNOME Shell, the redefinition of the GNOME desktop is set to release in September of 2010. This, like any other GNOME release, is a month before a release of Ubuntu. There should be a discussion as to whether GNOME Shell should be available in Maverick and if so, what sort of changes need to be made to better help users with the transition.

We'll touch on this during the normal Gnome in Maverick discussion. As it I don't suspect there is much to discuss here. I propose that we just continue to deliver gnome-shell as we have in the last few releases.
