Open Apps Shortcuts should Maximize AND Minimize

Let's say the user has the numpad delete button assigned to open the preferred media player. When the user presses the shortcut, it opens. He then minimizes the application to the tray by clicking its tray icon. He presses the shortcut and it pops up again. Now, however, when he presses the shortcut, nothing happens; it should minimize the application to the tray.
