Journal received a nifty revamp based on a mockup, but unfortunately the mockups have a few coloring issues and do not conform to the Human Interface Guidelines contrast and theming ideas. My proposal is to make widgets which act like GtkTreeviews look like treeviews. The blended interface in the current trunk is pretty, but for some of us it lacks the contrast we need to make it usable. There is a attached branch to this blueprint which makes the histogram theme something like hamsters, and the day widgets theme like a the traditional treeview they act like.
