Create a plugin with the functionality of pygcg

Registered by Charles Edward Pax

There is a project called pygcg (https://launchpad.net/pygcg) that generates pure Python code from a .glade file. From the launchpad site:
"""
The aim of PyGCG is to be a library to convert glade-xml-files to raw code. Glade is a nice way to create a Gui very fast. In the long run though, raw code seems more maintainable and more understandable for new developers. Initially, only the generation of python code will be supported, but support for other languages (C/C++, ...) might be added later on.
"""

I just did a checkout on 2007.07.31 and the code is not really functional. Maybe we should ask its author Thomas Meire to develop a plugin for Gladex. This would be nice for him because we have a good deal of his work done already and it would be nice for us because Gladex would be more functional.

Whiteboard

2007-07-31: pax: I just found another script that does something similar called glc (http://glc.sourceforge.net/). It can be downloaded from http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=2625. The last commit is from 1999, so I think it is for gtk1.

2007: paxmanchris: The launchpad location for pygcg is, https://launchpad.net/pygcg/
