Automatic backup for OpenStack MySQL databases
Automatic OpenStack MySQL backups should be configured via Fuel.
OpenStack MySQL backups should be enabled by default in Fuel.
Automatic backups should have schedule:
- bi-daily full OpenStack MySQL backup (default)
- daily full OpenStack MySQL backup (optional)
- Weekly full OpenStack MySQL backup (optional)
- Hourly delta OpenStack MySQL backup (optional)
Automatic backups should ignore plugins databases (such as zabbix).
Location of backups should be configurable. By default it should be Fuel node.
Sufficient of free space should be checked before creating backups or moving them to storage.
Backup rotation should be present. Example:
- 24 last backups (optional)
- 12 last backups (optional)
- 7 last backups (optional)
- 4 last backups (default)
- 2 last backups (optional)
Information about successful/failed backups should be present in Fuel.
Notification about successful/failed backups should be implemented (Fuel UI and email Notifications).
MOS operation manual should contain information about automatic backup process and restoration procedure.
