Not many languages (only Gproms) can solve PDEs, and writing algorithms that solve PDEs with Nupy and Scipy alone is very tedious. However when the method of "Finite Differences" is used, the differential equations can be translated into Python code in a quite mechanical way. Therefore it should be feasible with a relatively simple compiler.
