Keeping the transactions/accounts in files

It would be very useful to be able to keep all accounts/transactions/etc in a file and to be able to load the files as needed.
That would allow people, for example to keep their financial affairs from different countries separate.
See how it is implemented in Adarian Money for Palm/WM. That is by the way the golden standard for financial management application, on any platform.
