Add an account type called Deposit
In the add account screen why not add an account type called fixed/ recurring deposit. I've seen these two deposit types in all the banks I have used. Additionally you can add input fields like interest that lets you calculate the end return. I understand that for most of the account's lifetime it may be static (the fixed deposit for example) but it will give a better picture of my actual assets.

This seems to me more like a recurring transaction than an account type per se, if I understood it correctly. This would be some kind of transaction that would happen at some period, like salary, right?
RESPONSE: The recurring deposit is similar to the presently available recurring transaction but there will be an interest accrued every time you deposit. The fixed deposit on the other hand is a one time deposit and interest will be accrued for the entire tenure (usually an year). Reason why I wanted these as separate types is because most banks provide separate account numbers for RD or FD
